Blood Tests (Phlebotomy)

Blood test services (phlebotomy) are available Monday to Friday with our nurses.

Bloods are sent to Awanui Laboratories (formerly Canterbury SCL) or Canterbury Health labs for analysis. Results are then reviewed by your doctor and are made available to enrolled patients via the Indici patient portal, or by text or phone.
With the exception of some specialised tests, most lab results are available within a few days.

Testing Fees

Most laboratory processing fees are free to New Zealand residents (with the exception of work related, or patient requested test that are not required for diagnostic purposes). 

Charges apply for non-New Zealand citizens and for some specialised tests

Our Fees

We charge a $12.00 fee to draw blood.
If you prefer you can go to one of Awanui Labs testing facilities.
